Small Talk Six - Fathers Day

Want to join in? Go here to learn how and to view the weekly list Small Talk Six topics for 2009

Today’s topic is “6 things you think the father of your children deserve to have.” You can answer this with a list of 6 words, 6 phrases, 6 sentences, 6 paragraphs, 6 photos, 6 videos, etc . . .

1. A day off from work with pay. The hubby co-owns a small business and if he doesn't work, he doesn't get paid. He always feels guilty about taking a day off. (and we usually can't afford for him to) He needs a day (or a couple) off that he doesn't feel guilty about!

2. Appreciation for all that he does for his family. He works so hard to provide for us and while it never goes unnoticed, I'm pretty bad about actually showing my appreciation for all that he does.

3. A professional back massage. He installs flooring all day long so he's on his feet or knees and bent over all the time. His back is always hurting.

4. A day at home without the kids whining and fighting. (Hey, I deserve that too!)

5. The love and respect of his family, not just the kids and I, but his extended family as well.

6. A Jeep. He works so hard to provide for our family and make sure we have the things we need and want. He's wanted a Jeep Wrangler for a long time, but hasn't even considered buying one because it's not something that is practical for us as a family. (He wants a motorcycle too. But that one is not happening. At least not until we get a large, large life insurance policy on him!)

Great list I see a lot of men in their own businesses working like a dog and scheduling things so that they never have time to themselves.
As far as 2 ONLY U can change that.

Sounds like he could use a break! A massage is a great idea! :)

We all should get #4 once in awhile. Wouldn't that be nice?!
